Just before Halloween, Disney announces a brand-new event in its calendar: the Disney Marathon or runDisney 2024. Packed with a variety of adventurous events, this Disney Marathon is something you do not want to miss. You can feel the spooky vibes of Halloween throughout the Disney Marathon, as it features Halloween-themed entertainment, including the courses, and offers the opportunity to meet some of your favorite Disney characters.
The Marathon takes place at Disneyland California Adventure Park. In addition to the Halloween theme, there are four onsite events at Walt Disney World Resort and two at Disneyland Resort. If you are a die-hard Mickey Mouse fan, you might also have the chance to participate in some virtual events.

The races will take place from September 5 – 8, 2024.

The four days of the Disney Marathon feature a variety of fun and entertaining events, including:
- Kids’ Races
- 5K
- 10K
- Half Marathon
- Two-Race Challenge for those who are brave enough to run both the 10K and the Half Marathon.
Remember, all these races are Halloween-themed to bring out the chills of the season. During the event, there will also be Halloween-themed entertainment, featuring two races at Disneyland Resort:

These two races will start from January 30 to February 2, 2025.

Registration for the 2024 Disneyland Half Marathon Weekend begins on February 6, 2024, for Club runDisney members. General registration will open on February 13, 2024.

Love the Haunted Mansion? Lace up your shoes and get ready to run through the spooky mansion. Join the spectral forces for the 2024 DisneylandⓇ Halloween 10K, a 6.2-mile course that takes you through Disneyland Resort and the local Anaheim area. Keep an eye out for the Hitchhiking Ghosts, the Hatbox Ghost, Singing Busts, and many more eerie surprises along the way.
2024 DisneylandⓇ Halloween Half Marathon
Next on your to-do list is the 2024 DisneylandⓇ Halloween Half Marathon, a 13.1-mile run through Disneyland Resort and the city of Anaheim. You won’t want to miss this race, hosted by Minnie Mouse, Daisy Duck, and Clarabelle Cow, who will be dressed as the Sanderson Sisters from Disney’s Hocus Pocus.

Make sure to sign up for the most nightmarish marathon of the year: the 2024 Chills & Thrills Challenge: Tim Burton’s Nightmare Before Christmas. Hosted by the iconic Jack Skellington, Sally, and Zero from The Nightmare Before Christmas, this challenge dares you to complete both the 2024 DisneylandⓇ Halloween 10K and the 2024 DisneylandⓇ Halloween Half Marathon. Completing both races will earn you a special medal as a spooky reward.
